I don’t know but I think I maybe fallin’ for you dropping so quickly, maybe I should keep this to myself waiting ’til I know you better I am trying not to tell you, but I want to I’m scared of what you’ll say so I’m hiding what I’m feeling but I’m tired of holding this inside my head.

I want to be a Billionare?
When I look at overly rich neighborhoods it overwhelms me. I understand that some people actually earned their way up, but there is no reason why a person should live in a mansion when they only occupy 1/3rd of the square footage under their feet. Does anyone ever think about regulating themselves? To know when to say STOP. If you have enough to the point that you do not know what to spend it on, think about the scarcity of the world. The distribution of wealth is BEYOND unfair. There are NO words to describe it. When I see mansions, shiny cars and beautiful people I do not feel aspired nor mesmerized. I feel disheartened by the inequality.

Keeping myself in check
The other day on the BART ride home I thought to myself how little freedom I had financially. Only recently did I recall the many times where I refused to go out, because I had no money. I remember feeling a bit embarrassed when my friends wanted to go to the movies and I had no money for it. My excuse was always " I don't have the money" where then my friend would offer to pay. Ever since Berkeley, despite the fact that I have to pay for all of my bills, I have the ability to go out and I rarely catch myself refusing to go out with anyone. This is something I am truly grateful for. This is the reason I want to remain independent. Money cannot buy us happiness, but lets face it folks, it does make the world go round. I have been on the other end of the stick and frankly living paycheck to paycheck just does not cut it. I have been trying to find meaning and purpose in life, but growing up I was never encouraged to do what I enjoyed. I was encouraged to do what was practical. It was until Western influence kicked in where I began to truly reflect the possibility of doing something I was passionate about. Growing up was always about getting by through the day. Now, its the present and I am not living my past but I like to assess my past to be able to move forward to the present time.

It takes a lot of energy and will to let go of relationships.
Whether this be friendship, family or that "significant other".
It gets harder and more dreary as you get older where you have to let go of multiple relations due to responsibilities and a lack of compromise and commitment.
In elementary school when my "best friend" (after knowing her for only a year) had to move away to Catholic School, the situation seemed simple. I did not think about the distance and minimal contact we would have that would effect our friendship. To be naive of the entire situation and hold on to that make believe that we were "best friends" eliminates all expectations. We went with our daily lives without seeing or talking to each other days at a time. Sure its not about the quantity but the quality, though there's a point where you are not as significant to them as they are to you. Now, when you reach this point where you realize you care more then the normal individual where you become morally conflicted whether you should continue to care. Is there any wonder why its inherit that we are selfish?
